From October 17 to 19, 2022, the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vepa Hajiyev is on the visit in Dushanbe to participate in the High-Level International Conference "International and Regional Cooperation in the Field of Border Security and Border Control to Combat Terrorism and Prevent the Movement of Terrorists".
On October 17, 2022, on the margins of the mentioned conference, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan V.Hajiyev held a number of bilateral meetings.
In particular, bilateral negotiations were held with the Deputy Secretary General, Head of the UN Counter-Terrorism Office Vladimir Voronkov and with the Special Representative of the European Union for Central Asia Teri Hakala.
During constructive meetings, topical issues of multilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UN Counter-Terrorism Office and interregional cooperation with the European Union were considered.
Tomorrow, on October 18, the delegation of Turkmenistan is expected to deliver a speech at the opening ceremony of the High-Level Conference on Terrorism.
