On April 27, 2023, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan V.Hajiyev took part in the fourth meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs in the format "Central Asia - China" in the city of Xi'an.
During the meeting, which was attended by the heads of the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and China, priority issues of interaction between the states of Central Asia and China were discussed, topical areas for further partnership were outlined.
The participants of the event noted the important role of cooperation in the "CA - China" format in the context of intensifying joint efforts aimed at strengthening the constructive partnership of the countries participating in the format on a wide range of issues.
As the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan noted, the Turkmen side expresses confidence that it is the closeness and coincidence of approaches to fundamental issues of the regional and global agenda, based on the vast experience of interaction and good neighborliness, that provides a unique opportunity to develop modern tools for further establishing cooperation between Central Asian countries and China.
The parties also exchanged views on the agenda of the first Summit of the "Central Asia - China" format to be held in May this year.
As a result of the meeting, the Information Communiqué on the fourth meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the "CA - China" format and the Protocol of the meeting were signed.
