On September 19, 2017 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs there was the meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Dominican Republic to India Mr. Frank Hans Dannenberg Castellanos who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the opening ceremony of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
Expressing sincere gratitude for the warm hospitality, the guest stressed that the Dominican Republic highly appreciates the policy of neutrality and good neighborliness pursued by Turkmenistan, and also congratulated Turkmenistan on the successful holding of the opening ceremony of the 5th Asian Games.
The sides discussed the possibilities of further accreditation of the ambassador to Turkmenistan with the residence in a third country. The sides also exchanged views on the ways of the development of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Dominican Republic in trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres as well as interaction of the two countries within the framework of international organizations.
At the end of the meeting, the parties noted the need to bring bilateral ties to a higher level, which meets the long-term interests of countries.
