On April 19, 2024, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to Turkmenistan Mohd Suhaimi Bin Ahmad Tajuddin.
The diplomats discussed key aspects of the bilateral partnership and exchanged views on promising areas of bilateral relations.
At the meeting, the Deputy Minister, noting the high level of political relations, expressed the need to further intensify bilateral interaction and identify new areas of cooperation, including investment and mutual trade.
Continuing the topic of bilateral cooperation, the parties noted the need to develop inter-parliamentary relations by establishing the practice of exchanging parliamentary delegations.
The sides also emphasized the importance of expanding economic ties; in the coming years, this goal could be served by organizing mutual visits of ministers, government representatives and business circles.
During the conversation, issues of expanding cooperation in the field of tourism between the two countries and intensifying cultural and humanitarian ties were also discussed.
