The signing ceremony of documents took place at the MFA of Turkmenistan

On July 6, 2024, a ceremony was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan to sign documents between the institutions of Turkmenistan and the office of the UN Resident Coordinator, the UNDP office in Turkmenistan.

During the event 4 documents were signed regarding the interaction between Turkmenistan and the UN in various fields:

1. Joint Programme Document «Strengthening integrated and coordinated employment and social protection systems for a just transitions to 2030» between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan and the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office in Turkmenistan;
2. Project Document Revision «Assistance in capacity building of the Central Commission for Holding Elections and Referendums in Turkmenistan» between the Central Commission for Holding Elections and Referendums in Turkmenistan and the UNDP office in Turkmenistan;
3. Project Document Revision «Strengthening National Capacity for Seismic Risk Assessment , Prevention and Response to Potential Earthquakes» between the Institute of Seismology and Atmospheric Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the UNDP office in Turkmenistan;
4. Work Plan for 2024 – 2025 «Increasing the Capacity of Societies of Lawyers in Turkmenistan in the field of Ensuring Human Rights» between the Presidium of the Ashgabat Bar Association and the UNDP office in Turkmenistan.
