Turkmenistan’s collaboration with the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia discussed

On 18 September 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) Kaha Imnadze.

During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues of cooperation, in particular, the implementation of projects and programmes of the UNRCCA with the participation of Turkmenistan.

In addition, the importance of Turkmenistan’s multifaceted partnership with the UN in the context of the opening of the 79^th session of the General Assembly was noted.

Special attention was paid to the possibilities of enhancing cooperation between the UNRCCA and the states of the region.
