Issues of further development of cooperation with the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation discussed

On September 26, 2024, a meeting was held between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and the Vice-Governor - Chairman of the Government of the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation Denis Afanasyev.

During the interested exchange of views, the parties discussed the current state and issues of further development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Astrakhan Oblast.

Special emphasis was placed on the presence of vast opportunities for cooperation in the transport, logistics and ship repair fields.

At the meeting, further development of traditional humanitarian contacts in education and culture were also discussed.
