On November 9, 2017, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary at the level of deputy foreign ministers of Turkmenistan and Hungary.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the development of bilateral relations, expansion of cooperation within the framework of international organizations, in particular within the framework of the UN, OSCE and the EU, and expressed satisfaction with the mutual support of international initiatives of each other within various international organizations.
Touching upon the issue on the development of bilateral political and diplomatic relations, the sides discussed the possibility of organizing visits at the highest level. Participants of the meeting also noted the need to strengthen inter-parliamentary ties.
Education, tourism and sports were named among the priority areas of cooperation between the two countries in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.
