On 30 October 2024, a meeting was held in the MFA of Turkmenistan between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Turkmenistan Mr. Philippe Merlin.
During the meeting, the sides had an interesting exchange of views on the state of bilateral relations. Their consistent nature, affecting political and diplomatic, trade and economic partnership and cultural and humanitarian sphere, was emphasized.
The positive experience of interaction between the two countries on international platforms was also discussed.
The diplomats considered issues of expanding trade and economic cooperation in such areas as energy, logistics, construction, agriculture and "green" technologies.
The parties also noted effective cooperation in the field of speleology, archeology and the study of the French language.
At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors emphasized their mutual readiness to further expand bilateral cooperation.
