On 18 November 2024, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Serdar Muhammetdurdiyev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Turkmenistan (with residence in Tehran) Nijaz Čardaklija, who presented copies of his credentials.
During the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to the responsible post and expressed readiness of the Turkmen side to assist him in carrying out his diplomatic activities.
The interlocutors outlined the main areas of bilateral agenda and confirmed the mutual willingness to enhance dialogue, including in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
As to the cooperation within the framework of international organizations, the sides agreed to continue mutual support of the initiatives of the countries on the international platforms.
In addition, the sides proposed to hold regular political consultations between the foreign ministries in order to define the priority areas of interaction and development of relations between the countries.
Highlighting the potential of bilateral relations, the parties voiced proposals to establish effective inter-parliamentary, trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian ties.
