On 26 November 2024, a delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova participated in the 14th annual Meeting of Deputy Foreign Ministers of Central Asian Countries.
The meeting was organized by the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) in assistance of the Government of Uzbekistan.
The meeting was attended by deputy foreign ministers of Central Asian countries, representatives of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan, the UN Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, and the UNRCCA.
During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of regional and international agenda, as well as considered the prospects of development of regional cooperation in Central Asia.
They also exchanged views on developments and tendencies affecting peace and security in Central Asia. In this context, it was emphasized that these meetings play a crucial role in ensuring timely response to emerging risks and adapting joint measures to new challenges.
