On 27 November 2024, the Turkmen-Jordanian inter-ministerial consultations were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan via videoconferencing.
During the consultations, the diplomats of two countries exchanged views on a wide range of issues of multilateral and bilateral cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and humanitarian spheres.
The sides underlined that the contacts on the high and the highest levels, as well as regular consultations between the foreign ministries of two countries play special role in the development of bilateral relations.
During the consultations, the parties also exchanged views on current issues of regional and international agenda. They emphasized the need to establish inter-parliamentary ties, as well as to continue close cooperation within the framework of respected international organizations, first of all the UN.
In order to develop trade and economic partnership, the sides exchanged views on the establishment of a joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation between the two countries, as well as the establishment of partnership between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, as well as business structures of Turkmenistan and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The sides also considered the possibilities of expanding collaboration between the two countries in the fields of culture, tourism, science, education and healthcare.
