On December 16, 2024, the Specialized Exhibition "Iran Agrofood" of the Islamic Republic of Iran opened in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, within the framework of which the Turkmen-Iranian business forum was held.
The exhibition was attended by representatives of state, trade and industrial departments of Iran, as well as about 60 companies specializing in agriculture, food and processing industries, production of packaging and storage of food products, logistics, banking, trade and services, etc.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by the Chairperson of the Mejlis, members of the Government, heads of ministries and industry departments, diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, representatives of public organizations, and the media.
The Address of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the participants of the 16th Specialized Exhibition "Iran Agrofood" of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Turkmen-Iranian Business Forum was read out.
The exhibition presented a wide range of high-quality export products and services of Iranian companies specializing in agriculture, food industry, etc.
In the afternoon, the Turkmen-Iranian Business Forum was held here, where promising areas of the Turkmen-Iranian partnership were discussed, taking into account the existing trade and economic potential, in particular, in the field of trade, agriculture and food industry.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of activating business ties at the level of small and medium businesses.
At the end of the forum, its participants expressed their heartfelt gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the opportunity to discuss the economic potential and prospects of the Turkmen-Iranian partnership.
On the second day of the exhibition, presentations of projects by Iranian companies to strengthen bilateral cooperation will take place, and on the final day, a meeting of representatives of the private sector of the two countries and a ceremony to award diplomas to forum participants will take place.
