On August 3, 2016 a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the delegation of the People's Republic of China headed by the Deputy Head of the Trade Department for External Relations and Migration of Shanxi Province Mr. Ju Zhen, who arrived in Turkmenistan for the establishment of economic relations between the regions of the two countries.
During the exchange of views on the current state and prospects of relations between Turkmenistan and China, both sides expressed interest in developing cooperation in various fields between the provinces of the two countries. In this context, active work for the mutual economic and cultural activities in both countries has been noted.
Stressing the dynamic level of strategic partnership, the sides noted the high level of political cooperation and contacts between the leaders of the two countries. Noting the development of economic cooperation, the parties discussed the possibility of organizing joint activities in the coming year.
Expressing interest in expanding cultural and humanitarian relations, the Chinese side put forward a number of proposals for their further diversification.
