On December 27, 2024, on the eve of the New Year, a festive ceremony of opening of the apartment house for the staff of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Uzbekistan was held in Tashkent.
The event was attended by the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs A. Gurbanov, leadership and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Uzbekistan, representatives of ministries, public organizations of the friendly country, mass media, as well as Turkmen students studying in universities of Uzbekistan.
Speaking at the ceremony, the official representatives of the two countries emphasized the high level of interstate dialog due to the political will of the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Esteemed Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Esteemed President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
In accordance with the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, a modern three-storyed apartment house was built by private enterprise “Döwlet Gurluşyk”. Each of the 12 apartments with an improved layout design, trimmed with high quality materials, provides all conveniences for living, including furniture, modern kitchens and a system for maintaining an optimal microclimate. On the landscaped adjacent territory there are playgrounds for children and sports grounds.
Music and songs dedicated to Turkmen-Uzbek relations, which are based on the traditionally strong bonds of friendship, good-neighborliness, trust and mutual support, were heard on the territory of the festively decorated new premises.
Then the participants got acquainted with the conditions of the new house aimed for comfortable living. A festive atmosphere was present. According to the tradition of Turkmen hospitality, treats were widely served.
The new settlers and participants of the opening ceremony expressed sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and Hero Arkadag for the great care to improve the social and living conditions of the foreign policy workers.
The participants expressed assuredness that the diplomats who will reside here will make a significant contribution to strengthening mutually beneficial partnership between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the end of the ceremony, the guests were offered dishes of national cuisine of the two countries.

In the framework of the visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan A. Gurbanov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan B. Saidov.
During the conversation, the diplomats reaffirmed that regular meetings and talks at the high and the highest levels play a leading role in strengthening the partnership.
Then, a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian fields, as well as regional and international agenda were discussed.
During the talks, the sides defined the collaboration plans for the upcoming year.
