Days of Culture of Turkmenistan were successfully held in Japan

On November 10-13, 2017 Days of Culture of Turkmenistan were held in the cities Tokyo and Tendo of Japan. The measures taken have become a next step in the rapprochement of the two countries in the cultural and spiritual direction and left deep impressions in the Japanese society.

On November 10, 2017 the opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan was held in the Palace Hotel of Tokyo, with the participation of the Deputy Foreign Minister of Japan, MPs, rectors and university professors, representatives of companies, as well as representatives of the Japanese public.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the guests visited a specialized exhibition where Turkmen national jewelry, clothing, carpets and printed products were on display. Then, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Japan, Horia Manabu, the head of the Interparliamentary association of the Japanese-Turkmen friendship Endo Toshiaki, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Japan and the Deputy Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan presented welcome speeches. After official speeches, masters of Arts of Turkmenistan performed a solemn concert.

On November 11, 2017 Days of Culture of Turkmenistan continued in the city of Tendo, Yamagata Prefecture. An exhibition and a concert program were organized in the concert hall "Shimin Plaza" in Tendo.

On November 12, 2017 in the city of Tendo, in the "Park of Sports" in the open air a gala concert with the participation of art masters of Turkmenistan and Japan was organized in honor of closing the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Japan. During the closing ceremony, the ways of preparing Japanese and Turkmen national dishes were demonstrated, which agterwards were offered to the participants.

On November 13, 2017, the Turkmen film "Shukur Bakhshi", dubbed in Japanese, was shown at the Tokyo University in Japan. The rector, vice-rector and students of Japanese universities, as well as representatives of the Japanese public participated in the show. The film made a deep impression on the Japanese spectators and presented the Turkmen people as peace-loving and respectful for music.
