The Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Sri Lanka held a telephone conversation

On November 27, 2025, a telephone conversation was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism of Sri Lanka Vijitha Herath.

During the conversation, the sides discussed the development of bilateral relations in areas of mutual interest.

The effectiveness of the partnership within international organizations, primarily the United Nations, was emphasized.

The ministers placed particular emphasis on an important event to be held in Turkmenistan on December 12 of this year: the International Forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent Neutrality, the International Year of Peace and Trust, and International Neutrality Day.
