On December 19, 2017 in the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan the meeting of the National Steering and Coordinating Committee (NRCC) of the Partnership for Development Framework Program for 2016-2020 was held.
Heads and representatives of the United Nations Permanent Mission, the United Nations Development Program, UNICEF, WHO, UNFPA, accredited in Turkmenistan, as well as deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, representatives of the ministries and departments, as well as representatives of the State Bank for Foreign Economic activities of Turkmenistan, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Women's Union of Turkmenistan, Turkmen National Institute of Democracy and Human Rights.
At the opening of the meeting, the co-chairs of the National Steering and Coordination Committee - Turkmenistan's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs V. Khadzhiev and the UN Permanent Coordinator in Turkmenistan E. Panova delivered a welcoming speech.
Then presentations were made by the co-chairmen of the Groups on the results of "Qualitative Data and Progress Monitoring", "Qualitative, Inclusive Social Services", "Environmental Sustainability and Energy Efficiency", "Employment, Economic Diversification and Trade", "Governance and Rule of Law" on the results achieved in the implementation of the Partnership for Development Framework Program for 2016-2017, and discussed priority areas for joint activities for 2018.
At the end of the meeting, representatives of the National Steering and Coordinating Committee discussed the proposed changes in the matrix of the results of the Partnership for Development Framework Program and summed up the meeting.
