On December 26, 2017 a scientific and practical Conference titled "Development of statehood, legal system and democracy in neutral Turkmenistan" was held in the Conference Hall of the Palace of Adalat (Justice) of Turkmenistan, dedicated to the 10th Anniversary of the foundation of the Institute of State and Law under the President of Turkmenistan.
Representatives of diplomatic corps of foreign countries accredited in our country, international organizations, ambassadors of Turkmenistan, scientists of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, branch research institutes, faculty members of higher educational institutions, students of the Academy of public administration under the President of Turkmenistan, officials of the ministries and departments, representatives of public organizations and mass media attended the Conference.
At the beginning of the Conference a Welcome Address of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, addressed to the Conference participants has been read out, which stressed the social and social value of the state and constitutional system, ensuring the realization of political, economic and social rights of citizens.
The participants of the Conference emphasized that over the past years by the initiative of the Head of State, large-scale progressive reforms are being implemented in the country, aimed at further improving national legal system and its harmonization with universally recognized international norms.
Speakers noted that during the years of independence a national legal system was formed in Turkmenistan based on the consistent policy aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the legal regulation of public relations in order to protect the rights and freedoms of the individuals, state sovereignty, and the national interests of the country in international arena.
At the end of the Conference the participants adopted a Gratitude Address to the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
