Peacekeeping – a key principle of neutral Turkmenistan's foreign policy strategy

On May 12, 2026, the III International Competition "International Relations: Culture of Peaceful Dialogue" started at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country.

An exhibition was organized in the foyer of the institute's main building, showcasing unique examples of decorative and applied arts, as well as materials revealing the priority directions of the country's foreign policy. The participants of the competition toured the exposition before the start of the event.

Following the event, the III International Competition "International Relations: Culture of Peaceful Dialogue" commenced. This creative contest, organized by the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, brought together participants from nine countries: the Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, the People's Republic of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and the Islamic Republic of Iran. More than 40 international representatives from 13 leading universities registered to compete, alongside 117 talented students from Turkmenistan's higher educational institutions. Such a diverse composition highlights the high relevance of the competition’s theme, which is dedicated to the key issues of modern times.

The participants of the international competition emphasized the vital role of international efforts in strengthening peace and stability in today's world.

As noted, Turkmenistan attaches great importance to developing cooperation in areas such as politics, economics, energy, food security, and ecology.

Participants of the III International Competition "International Relations: Culture of Peaceful Dialogue" visited the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan.

Museum staff introduced the guests to unique exhibits, sharing insights into their history and significance in the life of the people.

The participants of the international event expressed their sincere gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Hero-Arkadag for the opportunity to go on interesting and educational excursions as part of the cultural program. The contestants also highly praised the level of organization of the intellectual competition, emphasizing its importance in finding effective solutions to the pressing problems of modern times.
