Signing ceremony of documents with UNDP was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan

On June 3, 2026, as part of the celebration of World Bicycle Day, proclaimed by the UN General Assembly at the initiative of Turkmenistan, the document signing ceremony was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between the relevant ministries and agencies of Turkmenistan and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The cooperation of Turkmenistan with the UN and its agencies has a long-term and systematic nature and is based on bilateral agreements. To further strengthen and expand this partnership, new documents were signed aimed at developing key areas of collaboration.

The parties signed:

- “Framework Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the United Nations Development Programme on Co-Financing”;

- Work Plan for 2026 for the Project Document “Support the Digitalization of the Judicial System of Turkmenistan” between the Supreme Court of Turkmenistan and the UNDP Representative Office in Turkmenistan;

- Revised Project Document “Transition of the National Tuberculosis Control Program of Turkmenistan from the Support of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria” between the Ministry of Healthcare and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and the UNDP Representative Office in Turkmenistan;

- Work Plan for 2026 – 2027 of the Project Document “National System for Strategic Human Capital Planning” between the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the UNDP Representative Office in Turkmenistan.
