Current cooperation with UNICEF was discussed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan

On 4 June 2026, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byshimova and the UNICEF Representative in Turkmenistan Jalpa Ratna.

During the meeting, the sides noted the effectiveness of long-standing cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNICEF. 

The significance of the recent festive events held in Turkmenistan on the occasion International Children’s Day, organized jointly with UN agencies and with the support of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was underlined.

The parties discussed current and future projects being implemented jointly with UNICEF in Turkmenistan. Preparations for upcoming joint events were also reviewed.
