Days of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan started in Turkmenistan

On June 5, 2026, the opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan was held at the Palace of Mukams of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan in the capital.

Participants expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Presidents of the two countries and to the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, for their significant attention to the development of multifaceted cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan, including in the field of culture.

A large-scale concert program featuring local artists and guests followed. The opening composition, "DOSTLUK KOMPOZISIÝASY," was a vibrant and inspiring embodiment of the unbreakable bonds of friendship and brotherhood between the two countries and peoples, as well as their aspirations for further development. The audience greeted with thunderous applause the performances of the Azerbaijan State Orchestra of Folk Instruments named after Fikret Amirov, the Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra named after Gara Garayev, the Naghara (drummers) Ensemble of the Azerbaijan State Dance Ensemble, as well as renowned performers and creative groups.

The artists of Azerbaijan were joined by popular domestic dance groups. A special flavor was added to the festive program by a joint performance of the ancient dance "küştdepdi" by the Galkynyş dance ensemble and an Azerbaijani soloist.

The brilliant performances of musicians, singers, and dancers, through the universal language of music and choreography, demonstrated the commonality of national cultures, the hospitality, and the creative potential of our peoples, delighting the audience.

As part of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan in our country, the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Pearl of the National Heritage of Azerbaijan" was held at the Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan. During the first day of this cultural event, a screening of Azerbaijani feature films was also held at the Ashgabat Cinema in the capital.

The creative forum in Arkadag includes a number of major events. These include a scientific conference dedicated to the works of classical poets of the two countries, which will be held at the Dovletmammet Azadi Library, and a photo exhibition of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the Museum of History and Local Lore. Furthermore, a joint concert featuring artists from Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan will be held at the Gorogly State Equestrian Circus, including a performance by the renowned Galkynysh National Equestrian Games Group.

Guests will also enjoy an extensive excursion program, including visits to cultural centers, landmarks, and major shopping and entertainment centers in our country.
