Delegation of Turkmenistan participated in the Dubrovnik Forum “The Age of Multipolarity: Many Directions, One Future”
On June 26-27, 2026, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova visited the Republic of Croatia to participate in the international Dubrovnik Forum on the theme “The Age of Multipolarity: Many Directions, One Future”.
The forum was attended by high-ranking government and foreign policy officials from more than 30 countries, as well as leadership and representatives of international organizations, research centers, academic circles, and the business community.
The forum included thematic sessions dedicated to the formation of a modern architecture for international relations, sustainable development, industrial transformation, international trade, as well as transport and logistics cooperation, energy security, digitalization, and artificial intelligence.
Speaking at the panel session “Universal Values in a Multipolar World: What Can We Learn from Each Other?”, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan M. Byashimova presented the country’s approach to strengthening the culture of peace, dialogue, mutual respect, and trust in international relations.
The constructive state of Turkmenistan’s model of positive and permanent neutrality, as well as the experience accumulated by the country in promoting international cooperation was emphasized in her speech.
It was noted that Turkmenistan stands for the international order based on respect for sovereignty, non-interference in the internal affairs of states, peaceful resolution of disputes, equal dialogue, and strict adherence to the UN Charter.
During the visit, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova held a bilateral meeting with the State Secretary for Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia Frano Matušić.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Turkmen-Croatian relations across a wide range of areas.
The high level of contacts between the foreign ministries of two countries was noted. The sides discussed cooperation in trade-economic field and environmental security, emphasizing the importance of the Intergovernmental Commission and establishing direct contacts between business representatives of two countries. The parties also expressed support for further development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
M. Byashimova also met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria Ivanka Tasheva.
During the meeting, the diplomats discussed prospects for further successful development of Turkmen-Bulgarian relations in political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. The parties highly appraised the bilateral partnership within reputable international organizations, particularly the UN and the EU.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan M. Byashimova also met with State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Nevena Jovanović. During the talks, the sides noted with satisfaction the high level of Turkmen-Serbian cooperation and discussed prospects for the further development of ties between Turkmenistan and Serbia in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
