The city of Arkadag is a symbol of our state’s economic prosperity, its high international prestige, and the well-being of its people.

On June 29, 2026, the hyakimlik (city hall) of Arkadag hosted a solemn forum titled "Arkadag şäheri – röwşen geljegiň aýdyň ýoly" ("The City of Arkadag – A Clear Path to a Bright Future"). The event was timed to the 3rd anniversary of the opening of the modern era's "smart" city, which was created on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and under the wise leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The conference was attended by managers and employees from the State Committee for the Construction of the City of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan, the city's hyakimlik, local enterprises and institutions, as well as honored elders and white-haired mothers.

The forum was preceded by an exhibition organized in the spacious foyer of the Arkadag city hyakimlik. Various types of products and technological developments were showcased here. The attendees' attention was particularly drawn to the stands displaying the international awards bestowed upon the "smart" city.

At the beginning of the conference, the Address of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the residents of the city of Arkadag was read, emphasizing that the celebration of the third anniversary of Arkadag city – a model of modern architecture – is an important event in the political, social, and cultural life of our country.

The speakers cordially congratulated the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, as well as the forum participants, on the third anniversary of the opening of the city of Arkadag – the only "smart" city in the country and the region. They extended wishes of goodt health, longevity and further success in their large-scale activities to the Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar.

As emphasized in the speeches, the unique urban development project of the city of Arkadag, which holds a special legal status as a city of state importance under the relevant Law, is a concrete result of the large-scale reforms initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and currently being successfully implemented under the leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar.

As is known, according to the "Concept for the Development of the City of Arkadag in 2024–2052," the construction of the second phase of the "smart" city is proceeding at a dynamic pace. Within this framework, not only social facilities will be commissioned, but also manufacturing enterprises that will form a modern industrial complex. Among the social facilities, a children's park, a mosque, and others should be noted.

In the speeches, special attention was focused on the fact that within the first phase of the construction of the city of Arkadag, 336 modern facilities were commissioned, including two-story and multi-story residential buildings, as well as public, educational, medical, and cultural buildings, sports centers, and engineering systems.

At the conclusion of the forum, an Address to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, was adopted on behalf of the participants.Performances by cultural figures and masters of the arts took place as part of the conference.

Following this, a festive sadaka was given at the "Märkaw" Cultural and Entertainment Center on the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of the opening of Arkadag city, and in unanimous support of the proposal to name the new modern mosque being built in the city on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, designed for 30,000 people, "Arkadagyň ruhy metjidi".

During the celebrations and various events that unfolded in all corners of the city on the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of commissioning the city of Arkadag, creative groups demonstrated their mastery by performing inspiring songs and melodies.
