Meeting between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ambassador of the State of Palestine

On 16 July 2026, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to Turkmenistan Rana Abu Hijleh.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of Turkmen-Palestinian cooperation, with particular emphasis on further strengthening political dialogue and expanding contacts between the foreign ministries of the two countries.

The Palestinian side informed about the political events planned in the State of Palestine, in particular the parliamentary elections scheduled for 2026 and the presidential elections planned for 2027.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on the organization of joint cultural and humanitarian events.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine expressed gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan for its continued support of the activities of the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Turkmenistan and reaffirmed the Palestinian side's interest in further strengthening the friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
