Ceremony of State Awards held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan
On September 24, 2026, a formal ceremony was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan to present state awards to members of the national diplomatic service in honor of the 35th anniversary of the Independence of Turkmenistan.
In his speech, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov emphasized the special significance of the events taking place in the country in honor of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s state Independence.
The importance of the meeting of the Halk Maslahaty (People’s Council) of Turkmenistan held the previous day in Ashgabat under the leadership of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was emphasized. During that meeting, a wide range of issues concerning the country’s continuous socio-economic and innovative-technological development was considered and a number of important decisions were adopted.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan highlighted the responsible role of the country’s diplomatic service in implementing its foreign policy course.
Then, the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan on the conferral of state awards in honor of the 35th anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan was read. In a formal setting, the diplomats were awarded with the medal entitled “For Love to the Homeland”.
The participants of the ceremony expressed their gratitude to the esteemed President of Turkmenistan for the high appreciation of their work and pledged to continue carefully fulfilling their duties for the sake of further development of Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan.
