On the meeting with the Ombudsman of Georgia
On 26 September 2026, a meeting was held at the MFA of Turkmenistan between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and the Ombudsman of Georgia Levan Ioseliani.
During the meeting, the parties noted with satisfaction the active development of Turkmen-Georgian relations in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, as well as cultural and humanitarian spheres.
It was particularly emphasized that regular contacts at high and the highest levels serve as the key factor in strengthening interstate ties. In this regard, the state visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Georgia in July of current year was highlighted.
The sides discussed the prospects for developing bilateral cooperation in the fields of human rights and parliamentary cooperation. The importance of the work of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Groups was highlighted.
Mr. Levan Ioseliani expressed his gratitude to the Turkmen side for the warm hospitality and voiced his congratulations on the glorious anniversary – the 35th anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan.
