Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Central Asian States and the Republic of Azerbaijan
On 8 October 2026, a meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Central Asian states and the Republic of Azerbaijan was held in the National Tourist Zone “Avaza”.
The meeting served as an important platform for a substantive exchange of views on the further development of regional cooperation. The participants focused on the prospects for strengthening cooperation between the Central Asian states and Azerbaijan, as well as on current issues of the international and regional agenda.
During the meeting, the sides considered issues related to further promoting mutually beneficial cooperation, emphasizing the importance of regular dialogue and coordination of approaches on areas of mutual interest.
Particular attention was paid to preparations for the upcoming Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of the Central Asian States and the Republic of Azerbaijan. The participants approved the draft Agenda and final documents of the forthcoming high-level meeting.
Following the meeting, the importance of further strengthening political and diplomatic interaction and developing practical cooperation was emphasized with a view to ensuring the sustainable and mutually beneficial development of the region.
