Meeting with a Representative of the World Health Organization Held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan

On 10 October 2026, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova met with Corinne Kapuano, Acting Head of the WHO Regional Office for Europe.

M.Bashimova expressed her gratitude to Corinne Kapuano for participating in the Second International Conference “Universal Health Coverage and the Sustainable Development Goals”, held at the Congress Centre in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, emphasizing the importance of the event in strengthening international cooperation in the field of healthcare.

During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as prospects for further developing interaction in the field of public health.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of joint initiatives, strengthening regional cooperation and advancing priority areas in public health.

The sides emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue and reaffirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening the partnership between Turkmenistan and the World Health Organization.
