Meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and a representative of the Asian Development Bank

On 13 October 2026, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Director General of the Central and West Asia Department of the Asian Development Bank Leah Gutierrez.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on current issues of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Asian Development Bank, discussed the current state of their engagement and considered opportunities for further expanding the partnership.

Particular attention was paid to promising areas of cooperation, the exchange of experience on key issues on the regional agenda, and opportunities for implementing joint initiatives of mutual interest. The sides also discussed ways to further strengthen the partnership in light of current economic trends and new opportunities for expanding multilateral cooperation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their interest in maintaining constructive dialogue and further strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Asian Development Bank.
