Meeting of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the Head of the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia

On 4 November 2026, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova met with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Central Asia and Head of the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) Kaha Imnadze.

During the meeting, the sides reviewed current issues of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Regional Centre, as well as prospects for further developing their partnership in the context of strengthening peace, security and sustainable development in the Central Asian region.

The sides also exchanged views on upcoming events, considering opportunities to further expand regional cooperation and strengthen interaction through the UNRCCA.

The discussion also addressed the implementation of Turkmenistan's initiatives within the United Nations aimed at strengthening international peace and trust, as well as promoting a culture of peacemaking and constructive dialogue.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides expressed their interest in further developing cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UNRCCA, including through the implementation of joint programmes and activities.
