On May 8, 2018, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova in Turkmenistan (with residence in Kiev) Mr. Ruslan Bolbochan.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation. The participants of the meeting noted the need for intensification of the political dialogue, diplomatic interaction within the framework of international organizations, intensification of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues in the field of expanding cooperation in the trade-economic, energy and transport spheres. Also, during the meeting issues related to the opportunities for establishing direct contacts and deepening cooperation between the business-communities of the two countries had been discussed.
The parties paid attention to the organizational issues of the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, the holding of a joint business forum, as well as the meeting on transport cooperation. The participants of the meeting noted the interest in developing cooperation in the gas and energy sectors, as well as in the field of civil aviation.
