On May 10, 2018, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan there were political consultations between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and Palestine. The Palestinian delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Mazen Shamia.
The parties discussed the current state of relations and outlined the directions for their further expansion. Noting the high level of political and diplomatic cooperation, the sides expressed their commitment to the activation of relations emanating from the bilateral legal framework. Among the priorities, the parties noted the cooperation between parliamentarians, as well as in the fields of medicine and pharmaceutics, construction, agriculture and water resources.
The heads of the delegations discussed the issues of the conclusion of trade and economic relations to a new level. In this regard, issues of implementing joint projects involving business structures of both countries, as well as opportunities for investing foreign investments were discussed.
At the end of the meeting, the sides stressed the importance of continuing the established dialogue at various levels for further diversification of fruitful cooperation that meets mutual interests.
