On September 5, 2016 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan there was a meeting with the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to Turkmenistan (with residence in Kiev) Mr. Ruslan Bolboceanu, who arrived on a working visit to the Turkmen capital.
During the conversation, which took place after the presentation by the Ambassador copies of his credentials, the sides discussed the state and prospects of the development of political interaction. In this context the sides noted the importance of high-level visits. Among the priority areas of cooperation the parties discussed the issues of cooperation within international organizations, primarily the UN, EU and OSCE. There was also a commitment by the parties to the intensification of inter-parliamentary cooperation, through the exchange of experiences and meetings on a regular basis.
Then the sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues in the area of enhanced cooperation in trade-economic, energy and transport sectors. Also during the meeting the sides discussed issues related to the possibility of establishing direct contacts and deepening cooperation between the business circles of the two countries, as well as the strengthening of contacts in the cultural and humanitarian spheres.
