On September 13, 2018, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan there was a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand in Turkmenistan (with residence in Ankara), Ms. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit, who arrived in Ashgabat to present her credentials.
Expressing its commitment to building and developing partnership with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, the Turkmen side noted the positive experience of interaction in the political, trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. The sides noted the need to further strengthen the Turkmen-Thai partnership and agreed to intensify cooperation in energy, construction and tourism. They discussed the possibility of organizing high-level visits, exchanging business delegations for further intensification of bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
Speaking about activities in the international arena, the sides noted the initiatives of Turkmenistan to further ensure peace, security and sustainable development in the region. In this context, the sides' attention was paid to the issues of interaction within the framework of international organizations.
