On November 8, 2023, a meeting was held at the United Nations headquarters in Vienna between a delegation headed by the Deputy Prosecutor General of Turkmenistan and the leadership of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
During the meeting, the recent decision of the Turkmen side to join the Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities - the GlobE system was noted and, in this regard, the parties expressed their readiness for further active cooperation within the framework of this network.
Special attention was also paid to the work within the framework of the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and its three additional Protocols, as well as the UN Convention against Corruption.
In addition, the meeting participants discussed the prospects for cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNODC.
