On January 29, 2024, a meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia M.Ayazov and the Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Armenia K.Ivanov.
During the meeting, issues of increasing trade and economic potential and increasing trade turnover between the two countries were discussed.
During the meeting, it was noted that interest in industrial products “Made in Turkmenistan” is growing in the local market, as well as the range of trade turnover between the two countries is increasing, in this regard Karen Ivanov supported and expressed his readiness to open a trading house of Turkmenistan in Armenia.
The vice-president of the chamber additionally said that the delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia plans to take part in the International Exhibition of Modern Food Technologies “Agro-Pak Turkmenistan” and “Turkmen Food”, which will be held in May 2024 in Ashgabat.
At the end of the meeting, the sides also touched upon issues of strengthening transport and logistics infrastructure.
