On March 15, 2024, at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine, a meeting was held with students of the State University of Trade and Economics of Kyiv, organized jointly with the Ukrainian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Ukraine).
During the meeting, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Ukraine T.Ataev spoke about the domestic and foreign policies of Turkmenistan, focusing on the “model of the Turkmen economy”, the fuel and energy complex, transport, social sphere, international politics, including cooperation with the UN, UNESCO and other international organizations.
The topic of sustainable development goals was also touched upon, where the Ambassador drew the attention of young people to the global processes of countries with economies in transition, which were covered in detail in the speech of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov within the framework of the third Antalya Diplomacy Forum, held in March 2024 in Türkiye.
Separate attention was paid to the efforts and initiatives of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the field of ecology and environmental protection, in particular the accession of Turkmenistan to the Global Methane Commitment within the framework of the 28th Conference of the Parties to the Framework Convention in Dubai.
The meeting ended with the topic of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Ukraine and the celebration in Ukraine of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Turkmen poet-thinker Magtymguly Fragi.
