On March 21, 2024, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Singapore B.Durdyev, during his official visit, held a meeting with the Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office Mohamad Maliki bin Osman at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore.
During the meeting, issues related to the implementation of the goals and objectives set for the foreign ministries of the two countries aimed at strengthening and developing bilateral relations and comprehensive mutually beneficial cooperation were discussed. Ambassador B.Durdyev briefly briefed the Minister on the large-scale events planned for this year in Turkmenistan and beyond as part of the declaration of 2024 as the Year of “Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi”, as well as on the process of successful implementation of the second phase of the “smart” construction project city of Arkadag.
The parties noted the need for the progressive expansion and strengthening of trade and economic partnership and noted the great potential in this area.
The fuel and energy complex, transport and logistics, chemical industry, industry, agriculture, environmental issues and environmental protection are identified as promising aspects.
At the end of the meeting, Mohammad Maliki bin Osman thanked the Turkmen side for the support provided in promoting the candidacy of the Republic of Singapore in international organizations, expressing readiness to continue to contribute to strengthening mutual relations and cooperation with Turkmenistan.
