A meeting between the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to UNOG and representatives of the Geneva office of Human Rights Watch

On May 28, 2024, a meeting was held between the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Office in Geneva Vepa Hajiyev, and the director of the Geneva office of the non-governmental organization Human Rights Watch (HRW) Hilary Power.

The meeting was organized in order to establish contacts between two parties for further interaction on current issues in the field of human rights.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on issues of mutual interest, as well as opportunities and forms of further interaction in the humanitarian sphere. To ensure the effectiveness of cooperation, the parties also agreed to maintain regular contacts at the Geneva site.
