On June 10, 2024, the results of the artistic event were summed up in the Magtymguly Library of Kyiv and the opening of an exhibition based on the works of the outstanding Turkmen poet-thinker of the 18th century Magtymguly Fragi entitled «Melodies of the Turkmen Land» took place. The event, organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine with the Magtymguly Library, was attended by members of the creative circle «Мистецтвознавці» («Art historians») of the Center for Extracurricular Activities of the Svyatoshinsky District of Kyiv.
Participants in the creative event – children aged 6 to 15 years old, captivated by the patriotic, lyrical, landscape, historical and autobiographical motifs of Fragi’s work, embodied fragments from the author’s works on paper.
As part of the ceremony, diplomats of the Embassy of Turkmenistan presented the participants with Certificates of Honor and expressed gratitude to the director of the Magtymguly Library and the head of the art circle for creative initiatives and their implementation.
Then, a video film about the life and work of Magtymguly Fragi was shown. In addition, an excursion to the Magtymguly museum room was organized for young artists, the fund of which was replenished at the beginning of the current anniversary year with new exhibits of decorative and applied arts of Turkmenistan and Turkmen book products in different languages of the world.
The exhibition dedicated to the celebration of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi will be held in the Magtymguly Library in Kyiv until June 16, 2024.
