On July 26, 2024, the photo exhibition «Magtymguly Fragi: a view from Georgia», organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia, opened in the Akhundov House gallery in Tbhilisi.
The event was attended by heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Georgia, representatives of Georgian ministries and departments, professional photographers, cultural and artistic figures, representatives of the scientific intelligentsia, as well as the mass media.
The photo exhibition featured more than 50 works by Turkmen artists depicting famous events from the life of Magtymguly.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in Georgia Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov addressed the audience with welcoming remarks. He noted that this event will contribute to a wider acquaintance of the world community with the work of Magtymguly Fragi, strengthening friendship and cooperation between fraternal peoples.
In his speech, Beka Mikautadze head of the Krtsanisi district of Tbilisi, congratulated Turkmenistan on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi and noted that the cultural and humanitarian sphere is an integral part of the modern Turkmen-Georgian interstate dialogue.
The photo exhibition will continue until August 2, 2024.
