On September 27, 2024, an official reception was held in Dushanbe to mark the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.
The reception was attended by the Co-Chairman of the Joint Tajik-Turkmen Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan S. Ziyozoda, the leadership and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country, deputies of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan (Parliament), representatives of foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Dushanbe, business circles of the two countries, heads of public organizations, scientists and cultural figures, journalists and representatives of the Turkmen diaspora.
In his welcoming speech, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Tajikistan A. Gochmyradov noted that the partnership between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tajikistan is based on centuries-old indestructible traditions of friendship, good neighborliness and fruitful cooperation.
Heads of foreign diplomatic missions, representatives of the Tajik scientific and cultural intelligentsia congratulated the Turkmen side on the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.
As part of the event, an exhibition was organized, which presented books by the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, collections of poems by Makhtumkuli Fragi and examples of decorative and applied art.
