On October 15, 2024, a round table dedicated to Independence Day of Turkmenistan and the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi was held at the Astrakhan State University named after V.N.Tatishchev.
The round table was attended by the Consul of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Astrakhan), Deputy Minister of Foreign Relations of the Astrakhan Region, Acting Head of the Representative Office of the Russian MFA in Astrakhan, as well as students from Turkmenistan studying at the Astrakhan State University named after V.N.Tatishchev.
Representatives of the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the International University for the Humanities and Development spoke at the round table via videoconference.
The participants of the event considered the key aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the scientific and cultural-humanitarian fields. It was stated that the rich creative heritage of the great humanist, the founder of Turkmen poetry, is rightfully included in the golden treasury of world literature. In this context, the importance of the opening of the comprehensive secondary school named after Magtymguly in Astrakhan on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people was noted.
The speakers emphasized the greatness of the genius of Magtymguly Fragi, who embodied the centuries-old wisdom of the Turkmen people, the beauty of its poetic language, and through his work preached values that are close to every inhabitant of the planet.
