On 1-2 November 2024, events were held in the Cappadocia region of the Republic of Türkiye to honour the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi, as well as the 33rd anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan.
Accordingly, 300 hot air balloons decorated with Turkmen and Turkish flags and banners dedicated to Magtymguly Fragi were aired to the sky over the world-famous tourist region of Türkiye, Cappadocia.
The flight of hundreds of balloons over the famous sights of Cappadocia continued for about an hour. This event was registered by the Eurasian Association of Economic Relations (EkoAvrasya) as the first ever Aero Festival of such scale held in honour of an outstanding personality. In this context, the Turkmen side received the relevant certificate.
Also, as part of cultural events, a photo exhibition was held in the premises of the ancient Art Museum “Güray” to mark the 33rd anniversary of the Independence of Turkmenistan.
In the framework of the events, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Türkiye and the EkoAvrasya Association organised a round table with participation of representatives of the business community of the Republic of Türkiye on the topic “Turkmenistan and Türkiye: Towards New Stage of Economic Partnership”.
The event gathered more than 100 business representatives from various regions of Türkiye. The prospects of Turkmen-Turkish cooperation in key economic spheres such as energy, transport, construction, investment and trade were discussed at the meeting.
In addition, bilateral meetings between representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan and the leadership of the region were held.
Then, a meeting with Turkmen students studying at Haci Bektaş Veli University in Nevşehir city was held. At the end of the meeting, each student received a book entitled “Youth is the Support of the Motherland” of the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
