From November 16 to December 16, 2024, the Centre for Oriental Literature of the Russian State Library is hosting the art and book exhibition entitled “Reflection”, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the outstanding poet, classic of Turkmen literature and thinker of the East Magtymguly Fragi.
The event was the culmination of the art contest of illustrations of Oriental poetry “Reflection”. The competition was part of the VIII Moscow International Festival of Arts “Sounds of Dutar” named after Nury Halmamedov and was held under the auspices of the UNESCO International Chair for Fine Arts and Architecture of the Russian Academy of Arts.
The exhibition, organized by the organizing committee of the festival in collaboration with the library staff, perfectly demonstrates the rich cultural heritage of Magtymguly Fragi. The exhibition presents unique editions of Magtymguly Fragi’s poetry from the collections of the Russian State Library.
