On February 10, 2025, an event in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Neutrality of Turkmenistan and within the framework of the International Year of Peace and Trust was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan at the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University in Almaty.
At the official opening of the event, the university leadership, honorary guests and Turkmen students delivered congratulatory speeches. They noted the importance of the International Year of Peace and Trust, declared by the UN General Assembly at the initiative of Turkmenistan and co-sponsored by dozens of countries around the world.
It was underlined that this serves as a proof of the growing role of Turkmenistan in peacebuilding and maintaining security in the region and beyond.
The event participants viewed a specially prepared video about Turkmenistan’s achievements in recent years.
Turkmen students performed dance compositions. Poems of Magtymguly Fragi were also read and the Turkmen national dance “Kushdepdi” was masterfully performed.
After the official part, a meeting of Turkmen diplomats with the Rector of Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ahylbek Kurishbayev and the teaching staff of the university took place.
During the meeting, agreements were reached on holding joint events during 2025.
