On April 2, 2025, the opening of the Days of Turkmen Cinema took place in Bucharest, organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania in the cinema hall of the National Museum of the Romanian Peasantry as part of the celebration of the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.
Films from the Turkmenfilm Association named after Oguz han of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography are presented for screening.
The event was attended by representatives of ministries and departments of Romania, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Romania, representatives of the scientific and creative intelligentsia, as well as citizens and students of Turkmenistan in Romania.
The welcoming speech was given by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Romania Annamammet Annayev and the Director General of the National Museum of the Romanian Peasantry Virgil-Stefan Nitulescu.
In his speech, the Ambassador noted that the screening of Turkmen films will be another step towards bringing the cultures of Turkmenistan and Romania closer together.
In turn, V.Nitulescu thanked the Government of Turkmenistan for the wonderful opportunity to become even more closely acquainted with Turkmen culture and cinematography and expressed his readiness to deepen intercultural dialogue.
