On March 12, 2026, in Tokyo, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan A.Bayramov met with the leadership of the Japan Equestrian Federation and the Tokyo Equestrian Complex, Hiroshi Ito and Yoshikazu Matsuda.
The meeting was attended by Member of the Japan-Turkmenistan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, Member of the House of Representatives of Japan Takuma Miyaji, Director General of the “Ahal-teke Affinity Co. LTD” Japan Economic Society, Member of the International Ahal-Teke Horse Breeding Association and Honored Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan Michiko Aoe, along with other Japanese horse breeders.
During the meeting, the Japanese side was briefed on the large-scale events being held domestically and abroad during the year of “Independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan – homeland of purposeful heavenly horses” as well as the country’s horse-breeding policy. Specific aspects of establishing cooperation with the Japan Equestrian Federation were also discussed.
Following the meeting, the participants visited the monument to the Ahal-Teke horse located within the Tokyo Equestrian Complex.
